Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, always respecting residents' dignity and preferences
- Support the implementation and review of individual care plans, ensuring tailored care that meets each resident’s needs
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting best practices in care delivery and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities using IT systems, adhering to confidentiality standards
- Contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment by conducting regular safety checks and reporting any concerns promptly
- Support residents with medication administration under supervision, following all health and safety guidelines
Skills
- Proven experience working in a care home or senior care setting with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and colleagues
- Valid driving license preferred for assisting with transportation needs or outings
- Knowledge of developing and updating care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and record keeping
- Supervising experience demonstrating the ability to oversee daily operations within a care environment
