<PERSON>'s Piri Piri Front of House Staff are essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role involves providing friendly and efficient service, ensuring the restaurant maintains high standards of hospitality and food safety. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guest service, possess a positive attitude, and be eager to contribute to a vibrant team environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, customer relations, and upselling within a dynamic culinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during service and handling of food items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and service stations
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Manage guest queries or complaints courteously, striving for customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and provide correct change
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and basic maths skills are beneficial for success in this role
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments can be an asset but is not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities are important for managing multiple tables efficiently
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with guests and team members
