Fancy Metal Goods Ltd, home of Alice Wheeler London, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Picker and Packer to join our small, friendly warehouse team.
This is a hands-on role within a busy wholesale, retail and ecommerce business. You will help ensure customer orders are picked, checked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time, while supporting the general day-to-day operation of the warehouse.
You will work as part of a small, dedicated team, with direct support from the business owners and management team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 12:00pm, extending to 2:00pm during peak periods
- Overtime may be available or required during busy periods
- Occasional support may be required with trade show setup and breakdown throughout the year
Main Responsibilities
- Picking, checking, packing and boxing wholesale, retail and ecommerce orders accurately
- Preparing parcels, cartons and pallets for collection
- Labelling orders and ensuring the correct paperwork is included
- Unloading containers and incoming deliveries
- Breaking down deliveries and putting stock away
- Assisting with stock checks and stock movements
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Following all warehouse health and safety procedures
- Loading and unloading stock, display equipment and promotional materials for trade shows
- Supporting the team with other warehouse duties when required
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work accurately and efficiently
- Comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment
- Physically able to lift and move boxes, stock and display equipment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, with excellent attention to detail
Previous warehouse, picking or packing experience would be preferred but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Experience unloading containers, handling pallets, packing internet orders or working within a wholesale, retail or ecommerce warehouse would be an advantage. A forklift licence would also be beneficial but is not essential.
