Crossways Nursing Home is looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team and help create a vibrant, engaging, and fulfilling environment for our residents.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about enhancing the wellbeing of older people through meaningful activities, social interaction, and person-centred engagement.
About the Role
As our Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a varied programme of activities that promotes independence, choice, dignity, and wellbeing.
You will take the time to get to know our residents, understanding their interests, hobbies, life histories, and preferences to ensure activities are meaningful and enjoyable for everyone.
Activities may include:
- Arts and crafts
- Music and entertainment
- Exercise and wellbeing sessions
- Reminiscence activities
- Community visits and outings
- Celebrations and themed events
- One-to-one engagement for residents who prefer individual activities
No two days are the same, and we are looking for someone who can bring energy, ideas, and enthusiasm to the role.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a warm, caring, and compassionate nature
- Is creative, organised, and self-motivated
- Enjoys working with older people
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Is confident planning and delivering activities for groups and individuals
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
- Is reliable, flexible, and professional
Previous experience in activities, care, hospitality, education, or community engagement would be advantageous but is not essential. Full support and training will be provided.
