We are looking for a passionate, Qualified practitioner who is looking to work in a busy and nurturing environment where the children come first. With our own bespoke curriculum, we have taken away unnecessary paperwork from the team to give more time back to opportunities and experiences with the children.
As an Early Years practitioner working with our Baby Team, you will have a group of key children, to get to know, build bonds with, work with their families and support them in their next stages of learning. Babies team is made up of 4/5 staff per day, with a purpose built, open plan play space on the ground floor with bi-fold doors to the large outdoor space.
Qualifications
- Full & relevant qualification in Early Years (Level 2+)
- Paediatric First Aid training is preferred, can be provided
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- A genuine passion for early years
Woodlands is open 7.30am to 6pm - Monday to Friday and are looking for both full time and part time staff.
Full time hours 3 or 4 days a week 7.30-6pm (Totaling 28.5 to 38 hours)
Part time hours 2 days a week or afternoons 12/1pm - 6pm (Totaling 20 - 30hours)

Performance based pay - At Woodlands everyone starts on the same wage, we have a transparent scoring system which allows practitioners to be in control of their pay through performance.
Your Responsibilities
- Key person for a group of children – Supporting our youngest children with their care learning and development, working with their families
- Work as part of a team to create and maintain a learning environment to suit the needs of the children
- Good communicator - to be able to listen to and speak to children and their families about their interests
- With support from our SENCo, work with SEN children, following individual education plans and working with professionals
- Communicate effectively with parents daily about their child, and discussing any developmental needs and progress
- With training – use Tapestry online learning journal to maintain records of children’s experiences and development
- To interact with children throughout the day, from chatting about the birds in the trees, to building towers and knocking them down again and again and using your skills to develop children’s learning through play
