Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and reconciliations with precision and clarity
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record and process financial transactions
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data
- Mentor junior team members in accounting best practices and software usage to promote professional growth
- Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies across all accounting activities
Experience
- Proven experience in financial accounting within the financial services sector or related industries
- Hands-on proficiency with popular accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or equivalent systems
- Strong understanding of financial management principles such as budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Experience managing accounts payable processes and supporting overall financial operations
- Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in recordkeeping and reporting
