HGV Technician
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Day shift, Monday to Friday

The Role
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced HGV Mechanic to join the team at their busy Doncaster site. You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of HGVs and trailers, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and plant vehicles
- Perform pre-MOT checks in accordance with DVSA/VOSA standards
- Maintain accurate service records and complete all necessary documentation
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean, safe, and organised
- Support other workshop or transport duties as needed
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Proven hands-on experience working with HGVs in a workshop environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
