We are seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified Nursery Manager or if you are currently working towards a PDA Childhood Practice at SCQF level 9, or a BA Childhood Practice or equivalent. You will oversee the daily operations of our small nursery maximum 20 children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage staff and ensure a nurturing environment for children and the ability to engage with children, parents, and staff alike.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn.
- Oversee staff training and development to enhance skills in early childhood education.
- Manage resources efficiently, including budgeting for supplies and equipment needed for the nursery.
- Drive initiatives to improve nursery practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills .
- A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Ability to engage positively with children aged 3months-5 years old.
- Commitment to safeguarding children’s welfare and promoting their development.
- At least 2 years Deputy/Manager experience.
