We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Clinical Governance and Data Officer to join our Patient Safety and Quality Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract from September.
This is a 30-hour per week role, and we are happy to consider flexible ways of working to support the right candidate.
This is an important role within our supportive and collaborative Patient Safety and Quality Team. You will help us maintain effective governance systems, manage and present clinical quality and patient safety data, and provide administrative support that enables clear reporting, shared learning and continuous improvement across the hospice.
Working closely with colleagues across all clinical teams, you will support the accurate recording and reporting of incidents, feedback, governance information and quality data. You will also help colleagues use systems such as InPhase, our electronic incident reporting, feedback and audit platform to ensure information is recorded clearly, securely and in a way that supports learning and improvement.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with data and systems, has strong administrative skills, and can communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues at all levels. Accuracy, confidentiality, good organisation and a positive, team-focused approach will be key to success in this role.
Closing Date Sunday 19th July 2026
Interviews will take place on 30th July 2026
St Peter's Hospice is a well-loved hospice that provides extensive inpatient and community services, in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Every year St Peter's Hospice makes a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their families when it matters most.
Many of our staff work directly with patients and their families in nursing, health care and medical jobs. Others raise money to support patient care through our chain of over 40 charity shops and our fundraising activities. We also have a significant number of staff working in varied office-based roles.
Our aim is to provide an inclusive, safe and healthy workplace that boosts creativity and motivation.
Our Inpatient Unit is a state-of-the-art centre of clinical excellence, that was built with the generous support of the people of Bristol. Beyond our Inpatient Unit, you'll find our team in homes and on the phone 24/7. More recently in response to the pandemic we have moved some services online to continue support for our patients.
The Hospice is also a centre of educational excellence and we teach other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives, supporting the NHS and care homes provide end of life care.
