SENIOR SOUS CHEF
The Two Sawyers in Pett, is a family run freehouse located on the outskirts of Hastings serving excellent food.
The Two Sawyers has been awarded Open Table Diners' choice award for 2025 for one of the best places to eat in East Sussex.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Sous Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control to meet customer expectations.
Support the Head Chef and manage on shift the smooth running of the kitchen.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to strict culinary standards and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to establish and maintain food costs, inventory levels and ordering procedures to maximise efficiency and profitability.
Maintain a strong focus on food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Manage stock control and ordering.
Monitor portion control and reduce waste to protect margins.
Assist with producing daily specials menu in line with season.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a busy pub or restaurant environment.
Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food seasons and presentation.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Up to date food hygiene certificate level 3.
Have a driving license or live close by.

Pay: £15.50 per hour plus tips.
