Do you enjoy bringing people together, sparking conversation and adding energy to everyday life?
Watermoor House is a small, charitable residential care home where activities are about connection, choice and enjoyment. We’re looking for a kind, creative and organised Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver a varied programme of meaningful activities for our residents.
The role includes:
- Planning and coordinating weekly activities
- Delivering group and one-to-one sessions
- Creating clear activity calendars
- Building links with visitors, entertainers and community groups
- Working closely with care colleagues and an Activities Assistant
Core hours are typically 9am–3pm, equating to approximately 30 hours per week, with some flexibility and shared weekend working.
About you
You’ll enjoy working with older people, be organised and creative, and understand that meaningful activities look different for different individuals. Experience in activities, wellbeing, community or care is helpful but not essential — we’re most interested in people who bring warmth, organisation and initiative.
A full UK driving licence is required (D1 entitlement desirable for minibus use).
What we can offer
In addition to competitive pay, Watermoor House offers:
- Paid breaks
- £2.00 per hour weekend supplement
- Free home-cooked meals on duty
- Company pension scheme (Royal London)
- Regular supervision and appraisal, with training and development opportunities relevant to the role
- A supportive, values-led working environment
- Staff recognition, including Christmas and birthday gifts
- Enhanced sick pay (in addition to statutory entitlement) and occupational health support
- Access to Blue Light Card discounts
- Free on-site parking
- The opportunity to contribute to a well-run charitable organisation and make a genuine difference to residents’ everyday lives
Our values
At Watermoor House, our work is guided by our core values:

If you’re looking for a role where kindness, patience and professionalism are genuinely valued — and where you can make a real difference to people’s everyday experience — we would love to hear from you.
