We're currently recruiting for a Creative Classroom Assistant to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for graduates who are passionate about education, child development and inspiring young learners. Whether your background is in Education, Psychology, Childhood Studies or a related field, this role will allow you to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable classroom experience.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.
- Deliver engaging and creative learning activities to support pupil development.
- Assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support literacy, numeracy and intervention sessions.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
- Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
- Help develop pupils' social, emotional and communication skills.
- Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' wellbeing.
Ideal Background:
We welcome applications from graduates who have completed one of the following degrees within the last five years:
- Childhood Studies
- Early Years Childhood Studies
- Psychology
- Criminology
- BA Education
- Primary Education
- MA Education
- MA Education (SEND and Inclusion)
- PGCE
- Other Education, Child Development or Social Science-related degrees
Requirements:
- Degree obtained within the last five years.
- Professional employment references covering the last two years.
- Passion for supporting children and young people.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Creative, energetic and adaptable approach to learning support.
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
