Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English tutor to suppo This role involves delivering engaging lessons that foster language development, with a particular focus on students requiring specialised support such as those in special education programmes. Duties
- Deliver personalised English lessons tailored to individual student needs, including those with special educational requirements
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote language acquisition, literacy, and communication skills
- Support students in improving their reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities through various instructional techniques
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and active participation
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educators to ensure consistent support for each learner
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
- Incorporate tutoring methods that cater to children’s learning styles and developmental stages
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English, preferably with children or in special education settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and learning needs is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to develop customised lesson plans that meet individual student requirements
- Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach towards learners of all ages
- Relevant qualifications in Education, TESOL/TEFL, or equivalent are advantageous but not essential if accompanied by substantial practical experience
