Home Instead South Manchester & North Trafford are looking for a Trainer to lead the training and development of our Care Professionals and client teams. The working hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday, with some flexibility required.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health and social care trainer who is passionate about developing people, improving care standards and making a real difference in the community. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience delivering complex care training or Registered Nurses looking to use their clinical knowledge to support and develop others.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging induction training for all new Care Professionals.
- Support Care Professionals in completing the Care Certificate.
- Deliver specialist training, including Dementia, End of Life, Parkinson's, Mental Health Awareness and other mandatory and specialist subjects.
- Deliver and support complex care training where required.
- Carry out competency assessments, observations and practical assessments.
- Identify training needs and support ongoing learning and development.
- Monitor and maintain accurate training records using our Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure all training remains compliant with current legislation, CQC standards and Home Instead requirements.
- Conduct Care Professional supervisions and support performance development.
- Work closely with the Recruitment, Care and Operations teams to ensure Care Professionals are fully prepared for their roles.
- Travel regularly between our Stockport and South Manchester offices, as well as to clients' homes where necessary.
About You:
- Previous experience delivering training within health and social care, including Care Certificate knowledge.
- Complex care training experience is highly desirable, or you are a Registered Nurse (RGN/RN) looking to move into a training and development role.
- Strong knowledge of health and social care legislation and best practice.
- Confident delivering engaging training to groups and individuals.
- Passionate about developing others and maintaining high standards of care.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
