Job Purpose: Support for a young girl with a diagnosis of Autism and Developmental Delay.

Details:
I am a young girl with significant developmental impairment in communication and sensory difficulties. I am looking for someone to encourage my independence and help me to have a good time enjoying activities. I require one to one support with all my personal care and someone who will keep me safe because I do not recognise danger. When I am tired, I may become dysregulated which can cause behavioural issues. You would ideally have experience in supporting a child with Autism.
Person specification
Essential:
- Caring and empathetic
- Flexible
- Female carer due to the personal care element (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies.)
- A good sense of humour
- Active
Desirable:
- Experience with supporting someone with Autism and Developmental Delay
Summary terms and conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour
- Hours and times of work: Minimum of 3 hours per week plus additional hours arranged flexibly. Exact days and times will be advised in advance.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety.
Post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
