Job Overview
We are seeking a professional Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a flatbed lorry to deliver goods across various locations. This role requires a responsible and reliable individual with experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 curtainsider lorry for the transportation of goods to designated destinations.
- Load and secure cargo onto the lorry, ensuring it is properly balanced and secured for transit.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, maintaining health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transit, prioritising safety at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically with
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to secure cargo effectively on a flatbed vehicle.
- Good organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage delivery.
- Lorry is equipped with electric pump truck and tail lift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
