Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and collaborating closely with clients and construction teams. Duties
- Develop conceptual designs and detailed architectural drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, and Rhinoceros 3D.
- Create 3D models and visualisations with tools like Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and 3ds Max.
- Prepare construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and joinery details.
- Coordinate with clients to negotiate project scope, timelines, and budgets effectively.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilise project management skills to oversee multiple projects ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Apply knowledge of construction methods and joinery techniques to inform design solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate sustainable practices into designs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in architecture or related field with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse project involvement.
- Proficiency in architectural software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and joinery techniques.
- Excellent negotiation skills for liaising with clients and contractors.
- Experience in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of CAD standards and building regulations within the UK context.
