About Us
We are an established business telecommunications and IT provider based in Widnes, delivering broadband, hosted telephony, networking solutions to businesses across the UK.
Due to continued growth,We are looking for an experienced Telecoms Engineer with strong networking knowledge. This is not a traditional IT support role. The successful candidate will primarily install and support hosted telephony, broadband, Wi-Fi and business networking solutions for our customers.
The Role
Based from our Widnes office, you will spend much of your time visiting customer sites across the North West (with occasional UK-wide travel), delivering installations, resolving technical issues and supporting a wide range of business customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Install and configure broadband routers, firewalls and network switches.
- Install and configure Wi-Fi access points using our cloud-based Wi-Fi platform.
- Provision and configure hosted telephone systems, we mainly use GAMMA horizon, Cisco Webex
- Install and configure IP desk phones, softphones and mobile apps.
- Diagnose and resolve broadband, networking and telephony faults.
- Provide onsite customer training on telecoms and soft clients.
- Deliver remote and onsite technical support.
- Assist with IT and telecoms projects.
- Help improve our internal processes by introducing new ideas, such as helpdesk or ticketing systems.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a business telecoms or VoIP engineering role.
- Experience installing and supporting hosted telephony platforms (Gamma Horizon, Webex, 3CX, Teams Phone or similar).
- Experience installing routers, firewalls, switches and business Wi-Fi solutions.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
