Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team.
We install Level access bathrooms on behalf of local authorities accross Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield, Newark and Sherwood and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the 1st and 2nd fix plumbing on Level access shower rooms, This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will possess practical skills in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
There is no gas work required for this role
A company Van with a fuel car will be supplied for work use only
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures ect in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete plumbing tasks efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems by diagnosing faults in pipes, fittings, or fixtures and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised following health and safety regulations.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment to various sites when required.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry or electrical teams during complex projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skills
- Proven experience with plumbing installation and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems and related infrastructure.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical diagrams.
- Experience with carpentry or general construction is advantageous.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations is beneficial for site transportation needs.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in completing tasks accurately.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
Pay: £32,000.00 per year
