Learning Support Assistant – Tonbridge
Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Pay: £85–£90 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Full-time, temporary, term-time only
Contract length: 3 months
Start date: September
TalentED is working with a warm and welcoming SEND school in Tonbridge that is looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join its friendly team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them build confidence, develop independence and make progress both academically and personally.
You will work closely with an experienced SENCO, teachers and other support staff who value teamwork, patience and a nurturing approach.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
- Helping to implement individual learning plans
- Adapting activities to meet pupils’ individual needs
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Supporting pupils’ emotional and social development
- Celebrating pupils’ progress and achievements
- Helping to maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND
- Have worked in education, care, healthcare or a similar support role
- Are patient, caring, reliable and approachable
- Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
- Are passionate about helping young people reach their full potential
- Are available Monday to Friday during term time
- Are able to start immediately
