Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting our accounting functions. Responsibilities
- Manage and record financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently and accurately
- Maintain organised financial records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as needed
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure timely data entry and follow-up on outstanding payments or discrepancies
- Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or reviews
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, ideally within a similar industry
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with basic financial regulations and compliance standards
