About Our Client
Our client is a respected and values-led organisation committed to supporting survivors of domestic abuse across the North West. Their work is centred around creating safer futures, promoting recovery, and empowering individuals to rebuild their lives.
They deliver a wide range of specialist domestic abuse services, supporting women, men, children, young people, trans and non-binary individuals through safe accommodation, community-based interventions and tailored support programmes.
Services include refuge accommodation, dispersed safe housing, move-on support, outreach provision, IDVA services and preventative programmes delivered within schools and communities. They also provide specialist support for individuals experiencing additional or complex needs, including mental health challenges, substance dependency and wider wellbeing concerns.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to lead and develop a trauma-informed community domestic abuse service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, motivated and operationally strong leader to play a key role in delivering high-quality, survivor-centred support. The successful candidate will oversee service delivery, support and develop staff, ensure safeguarding excellence and drive continuous improvement across the service.
You will be responsible for leading an inclusive and responsive team, maintaining high standards of practice and ensuring services are delivered in line with organisational values, contractual requirements and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a community-based domestic abuse service.
- Provide operational leadership, supervision and support to staff teams.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed and survivor-focused services.
- Promote robust safeguarding practice for adults, children and vulnerable individuals.
- Manage service performance, quality standards and operational outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective multi-agency partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
- Support staff wellbeing, development and positive team culture.
- Ensure accurate reporting, compliance and continuous service improvement.
About You
We are looking for a skilled and values-driven manager who brings:
- Experience managing services, teams or operational delivery within domestic abuse, safeguarding, community, health, housing, criminal justice or related support settings.
- Strong leadership, people management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults, children and individuals with complex needs.
- Excellent partnership working and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and survivor-centred practice.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced service environment.
