Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Groundworker/Dumper Driver to join our clients dynamic construction team. This vital role involves operating dumper trucks to transport materials across construction sites, assisting with ground preparation, and supporting various site activities. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, safety awareness, and a proactive attitude to help keep projects on track and ensure a safe working environment for everyone involved.
Responsibilities
- Operate dumper trucks efficiently to move earth, gravel, debris, and other materials around the construction site
- Assist with groundworks including leveling, excavation support, and site clearance tasks
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported and work completed
- Support additional groundworker duties as needed to facilitate smooth project progress
Skills
- Valid driving license with relevant certification for operating dumper trucks (e.g., CPCS or NPORS)
- Proven experience operating dumper trucks on construction sites or similar environments
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to plant machinery and groundworks
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina and alertness
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team setting
- Basic knowledge of site safety procedures and risk assessments
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required
