Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Manage specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and timely meal service
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation and service
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages
- Follow all kitchen safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Support the training of junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, plating, and presentation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Prior experience serving guests or customers is a plus but not mandatory
