About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and helping people live as independently as possible.
Depending on the service and the individuals you support, your role may involve assisting with daily living, community access, appointments, personal care, emotional wellbeing, medication, meaningful activities and agreed recovery or independence goals.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing safe, respectful and person-centred support in line with individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity and inclusion.
- Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support.
- Supporting daily living skills and personal care where required.
- Supporting individuals to access their local community, appointments and activities.
- Helping people access education, employment and social opportunities where appropriate.
- Encouraging meaningful engagement and involving individuals in decisions about their own support.
- Supporting with medication where required, following appropriate training and competency assessment.
- Recognising changes in behaviour, wellbeing or risk and reporting concerns promptly.
- Responding appropriately to incidents, emergencies or challenging situations.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, families and other professionals where appropriate.
Digital Care Records
Good record keeping is an important part of the role.
You'll use our digital care systems to maintain accurate and timely records, which may include:
- Daily care and support notes.
- One-to-one support and engagement records.
- Shift handovers.
- Appointments and activities.
- Progress towards individual goals.
- Medication records where applicable.
- Incident and safeguarding records.
- Assigned tasks and follow-up actions.
Shift Patterns
Our services operate around the needs of the people we support, so different shift patterns are available.
Long-day shifts involve providing continuity of support throughout the day and evening.
Waking-night shifts require you to remain awake throughout the night to provide support, monitoring and assistance when needed.
Sleep-in shifts involve remaining at the service overnight and being available should support be required.
Flexible & Term-Time Opportunities
Alongside our permanent full-time positions, flexible and term-time working arrangements may also be available depending on the needs of the service.
These options may be particularly suitable for people looking to fit their working pattern around school terms, childcare, education or other commitments while still having the security of permanent employment.
About You

- Flexible regarding shift patterns where required.
Previous experience within health or social care, supported living, mental health, learning disabilities, autism or similar services would be an advantage.
However, applicants with the right values, attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.
