Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. There will be a mix of Day shifts and night shifts
Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Organising storage areas for ingredients and supplies to ensure easy access and safety
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods by ensuring all items are ready for use
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to promote a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory
- Previous kitchen or hotel experience can be beneficial for understanding hospitality standards
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality services
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
