Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Joiner to join our reliable and growing construction company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to undertake a variety of fabrication and assembly tasks. Duties
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber components using hand tools and power tools
- Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry with precision
- Undertake roofing tasks, including the fitting of roof trusses and sheathing
- Perform heavy lifting of materials safely and efficiently on-site
- Read technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects within agreed timelines
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure standards are met
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and nail guns
- Knowledge of roofing systems, masonry principles, plumbing installations, and electrical wiring is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during construction activities
- Strong understanding of construction painting techniques and finishing touches
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are advantageous
