About Vibora Liverpool
Vibora Liverpool is an exciting padel venue offering a welcoming, energetic and high-quality experience both on and off the court. Our clubhouse brings together sport, hospitality and community, providing customers with a place to play, socialise and enjoy refreshments.
We are looking for a confident and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the venue and help establish Vibora as one of Liverpool’s leading padel destinations.
The role
As Assistant Manager, you will lead by example and help ensure the venue operates safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. You will support the team, deliver excellent customer service and take responsibility for the venue when the General Manager is unavailable.
This is a varied, practical role suited to somebody who enjoys being visible on the floor, working with customers and helping a new venue grow.
Key responsibilities
- Support the General Manager with the daily operation of the venue.
- Lead shifts and act as the responsible manager when required.
- Deliver a friendly, professional and memorable customer experience.
- Supervise, motivate and support the clubhouse team.
- Assist with staff rotas, training, performance and day-to-day communication.
- Oversee reception, retail and food and beverage operations.
- Support court bookings, customer enquiries and membership queries.
- Help resolve complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Complete opening, closing and venue inspection procedures.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation.
- Ensure health and safety, fire safety and operational procedures are followed.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control.
- Support events, competitions, promotions and community activities.
- Help achieve revenue, membership and customer-retention targets.
- Build positive relationships with customers, coaches, suppliers and partners.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has supervisory or management experience in hospitality, leisure, fitness, retail or a customer-focused environment.
- Is confident leading a team and managing a busy shift.
- Provides excellent customer service and communicates professionally.
- Is organised, reliable and comfortable managing several priorities.
- Takes a proactive, hands-on approach and notices what needs to be done.
- Can remain calm and make sensible decisions under pressure.
- Understands the importance of health and safety and following procedures.
- Is comfortable using booking, till and basic computer systems.
- Is flexible and able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Has an interest in padel, sport, leisure or hospitality.
Previous padel experience is welcome but not essential, as training will be provided.
Desirable qualifications and experience
- First Aid qualification.
- Fitness or sports-related qualification.
- Personal licence or experience supervising alcohol sales.
- Experience with staff rotas, stock management or cash handling.
- Previous responsibility for opening or closing a venue.
