Are you passionate about helping people access safe, affordable housing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? We're looking for a Lettings Officer to join our Lettings Team, helping customers secure suitable homes across Wolverhampton. You'll advertise properties, review housing applications, make tenancy offers and provide advice and support throughout the allocation process. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives while delivering an efficient and customer-focused service.
What you’ll be doing:

Managing a portfolio of properties and progressing them through the allocation process.

Advertising available homes through the Choice Based Lettings scheme.

Reviewing housing applications

Shortlisting applicants and making tenancy offers in accordance with policy.

Providing pre-tenancy advice and helping customers prepare for a successful tenancy.

Supporting customers with housing options and signposting to relevant services where needed.

Working with internal teams and external partners to deliver an efficient and customer-focused lettings service.

Maintaining accurate records and contributing to team performance targets and KPIs.

Do you have experience delivering excellent customer service in a busy environment?

Can you communicate complex information clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing?

Are you able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines?

Do you enjoy investigating issues, analysing information and making informed decisions?

Can you build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and partner organisations?

Do you have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications?
Experience of housing, allocations, lettings, homelessness services or working with vulnerable customers would be advantageous but is not essential.
