Baker Street Nursery & Preschool in Hanham is looking for a passionate and experienced Baby Room Leader to join our team.
We are looking for someone who understands that the baby room is about so much more than care. It is about building secure attachments, creating meaningful experiences, supporting development and giving every baby the confidence to explore their world.
About the role
As Baby Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the baby room, leading your team and ensuring that every child receives exceptional care, support and learning opportunities.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting the baby room team
- Creating a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment
- Building strong, secure and trusting relationships with babies
- Planning age-appropriate activities and experiences based on children's individual interests and development
- Supporting babies' physical, emotional, social and communication development
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and wellbeing
- Completing observations, assessments and planning in line with the EYFS
- Working closely with parents and carers to provide continuity of care
- Supporting and mentoring team members
- Ensuring the room is well organised, welcoming and engaging
- Helping to maintain the high standards and positive atmosphere of the nursery
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with:
- Knowledge of the EYFS and baby development
- Experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally within a baby room
- A genuine passion for working with babies and young children
- Confidence in leading and supporting a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A warm, caring and nurturing approach
- The ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and learning
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider nursery team
- A desire to develop professionally and progress within Early Years
