Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience

About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technologist to join an established and progressive architectural practice in Winchester.
This role would suit a Technologist with 2–5 years' post-qualification experience who is looking to develop their technical and project delivery skills within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
You will work across a varied portfolio of projects, collaborating with Architects, Technologists, consultants, clients and wider project teams to develop well-resolved and technically robust design solutions.
There is excellent scope for professional development and progression, including support towards CIAT Chartered status.
The Role
You will play an active role throughout the project lifecycle, with particular emphasis on technical delivery and the production of coordinated information.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate and coordinated technical information.
- Developing detailed design and construction information.
- Applying sound construction and building knowledge to project work.
- Using Revit to support project delivery and BIM processes.
- Assisting with coordination of consultants and wider design teams.
- Supporting the development of specifications, materials selections and technical solutions.
- Resolving technical challenges and developing practical construction solutions.
- Contributing to projects through design development and construction stages.
- Ensuring design information complies with relevant statutory, legal and professional requirements.
- Working across more than one project where required.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients and consultants.
- Contributing to knowledge sharing and the continued development of technical and digital workflows.
About You
We are looking for an Architectural Technologist who can demonstrate:
- 2–5 years' post-qualification experience.
- A relevant Architectural Technology degree or equivalent qualification.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and building technology.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical information.
- A genuine interest in developing technical knowledge and learning new construction techniques.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to project delivery.
Revit & BIM
Working knowledge of Revit is highly desirable, together with an interest in developing BIM and wider digital skills.
Experience with:
- Revit
- BIM workflows
- NBS
- Specification writing
- Materials selection
- Detailed design
would be particularly advantageous.
Project Experience
The practice works across a diverse portfolio of projects and complex building types.
Experience of working on large-scale or technically complex projects would be beneficial, particularly where you have been involved in detailed design, specifications, consultant coordination and construction information.
Experience across sectors such as Education, Technology & Innovation, Defence, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential or other complex building environments will be considered.
