Financial Protection Administrator (Part Time)

We're looking for an administrator to become an important part of our team.
This is a flexible part-time role that would suit someone returning to work after a career break, someone looking to reduce their hours, or an experienced adviser, paraplanner or administrator who enjoys working with clients without the pressure of sales targets.
Initially, the role will be office based in Aldershot. Once established, there may be opportunities for occasional home working.
The Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring our protection cases progress smoothly from initial enquiry through to policy completion while delivering an outstanding experience for every client.
Working alongside our advisers, you'll become a key point of contact for clients, providers and medical professionals, helping applications progress efficiently whilst ensuring high standards of accuracy and FCA compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching protection providers and product options
- Booking appointments and supporting advisers with new enquiries
- Conducting compliant health questionnaires with clients
- Managing protection applications from submission through to completion
- Liaising with insurers, underwriters, GPs and other third parties to obtain underwriting decisions as quickly as possible
- Chasing outstanding requirements and keeping applications moving
- Providing regular updates to clients and advisers throughout the application process
- Proofreading recommendation reports and client documentation
- Maintaining accurate records using our CRM and internal systems
- Following company procedures and ensuring FCA and Consumer Duty requirements are met at all times
- Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the client journey
Experience
Ideally, we're looking for someone with:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience researching protection providers
- Strong proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good IT skills and confidence using CRM systems
- A professional and confident telephone manner
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Experience working within an FCA regulated environment
It would also be advantageous if you also have experience of:
- Previous experience within the protection insurance industry
- Private Health Insurance (PMI)
- Group Risk
- Working within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) practice
- Consumer Duty and FCA compliance processes
- Previous experience as a Protection Adviser, Mortgage Administrator or Paraplanner
