Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic F&B Assistant to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent guest experiences through attentive service and efficient food handling. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service, including taking orders and serving food and beverages
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, adhering to food safety standards
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including the kitchen and dining spaces
- Support with stock replenishment and inventory checks to maintain smooth service flow
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, providing information about menu options and specials
- Maintain accurate cash handling and basic maths skills for billing purposes
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper food safety procedures
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if necessary
