Veterinary Surgeon - Batchley

Candor Vets is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a small, friendly, 100% small-animal practice located in the heart of Redditch. This RCVS PSS registered practice prides itself on a supportive team culture, offering an enjoyable environment where every team member is valued and plays a crucial part.
The Role
This is a permanent, full-time position offering 30-37 hours per week. The rota includes 4 days per week plus 1:4 Saturdays (9am – 2pm), with the significant benefit of no OOH or Bank Holiday duties. The successful candidate will join a close-knit team comprising 4 FTE Vets, 6 RVNs, 4 Receptionists, and 1 Practice Manager. The practice fosters a psychologically safe environment that supports clinical freedom and offers access to a strong local community of colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing a mix of consultations and surgical procedures.
- Undertaking some sole-charge shifts.
- Supporting and mentoring vet students when they are on site.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical care.
The role offers plenty of clinical freedom to work up your own cases, supported by a dedicated and friendly team. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in general practice, friendly, supportive, team-focused, and comfortable with a balance of consults, surgery, and occasional sole charge. RCVS registration is essential.
