We are seeking an M&A and Integration Manager to support the evaluation, execution and integration of acquisition opportunities within Fera Science’s growing Corporate Development team. This role offers hands-on exposure across the full transaction lifecycle, from assessing targets and building financial models to coordinating due diligence, supporting deal execution and contributing to post-acquisition integration. Fera is a science-led, high-growth business operating in the broader testing, inspection and certification market, backed by Bridgepoint and pursuing ambitious organic and acquisitive growth. The role is suited to someone with experience in M&A, transaction services, corporate finance or private equity who wants to broaden their deal experience in a strategic, commercially focused environment. You will work closely with senior colleagues and external advisers, gaining valuable experience in valuation, modelling, stakeholder management and value creation. This is a strong opportunity to develop a highly marketable M&A skillset while helping deliver acquisitions that support Fera’s long-term growth strategy.
What you’ll be doing:

Support the assessment and execution of acquisition, investment and partnership opportunities.

Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses and business cases to support investment decisions.

Conduct financial, commercial and market analysis on potential acquisition targets.

Assist with the preparation of acquisition papers, presentations and supporting materials for internal stakeholders.

Coordinate and track due diligence activities across financial, legal, tax, operational and commercial workstreams.

Work with external advisers to support transaction processes and ensure deliverables are completed on time.

Support transaction execution activities through to completion.

Lead and coordinate post-acquisition integration planning, governance and tracking activities to ensure succesgul execution and value realisation..

Establish and monitor integration workstreams, milestones and synergy delivery plans across functional teams.

Support change management and stakeholder engagement activities associated with acquisitions.

Maintain databases, market intelligence and acquisition pipelines.

Undertake research into industry sectors, competitors and market trends to support growth initiatives
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience in either M&A or corporate development ideally with a background in corporate finance, transaction services, deal advisory or a related role such as private equity .

Experience supporting acquisition transactions and post-acquisition integration activities, including cross-functional project coordination. Strong financial modelling, Excel and analytical skills.

The ability to interpret financial information and identify key commercial drivers.

Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn.

Experience supporting live transactions in a buyside role. (desirable)

Understanding of valuation methodologies and investment appraisal techniques. (desirable)

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA qualification. (desirable)

Experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders. (desirable)

Knowledge of scientific services, testing, diagnostics, environmental, agricultural or life sciences sectors is preferable but not a requirement (desirable)
