Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nightshift Groupage Loader to join our UDS Distribution team. This vital role involves managing the efficient loading and unloading of shipments during the overnight hours, ensuring that all freight is handled accurately and safely. As a Nightshift Groupage Loader, you will play a key part in maintaining smooth logistics operations, supporting our supply chain, and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently will drive success in this fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Use transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, update data entry logs, and manage inventory movements
- Coordinate with the shipping & receiving team to ensure accurate documentation and proper handling of goods
- Conduct thorough analysis of shipment data to identify discrepancies or issues requiring resolution
- Maintain clear communication with team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and logistics processes
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and warehouse safety standards
- Ability to work independently during nightshift hours in a fast-paced environment
