Job Summary
Social Media & Community Experience Manager
Help build a premium community from the ground up.
We’re building The Society -a private membership centred around execution, accountability, personal growth and meaningful real-world experiences.
We’re looking for someone who can help bring that vision to life through exceptional social media, genuine community engagement and unforgettable member experiences.
This isn’t a typical social media role. Along with liaising with our videographers - You’ll work directly with the founder as one of the first hires, utilising their connections and social media presence to help shape how people discover, experience and remember The Society.
What you’ll be doing
Your primary focus will be growing and managing our social media presence while helping deliver an exceptional member experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, creating and managing content across our social media platforms.
- Building engagement and creating conversations within our community.
- Supporting the management and growth of our private member community.
- Assisting with the planning and execution of online and in-person events.
- Researching and booking accommodation, venues and experiences for member trips.
- Carrying out cost analysis to ensure trips deliver exceptional value while maintaining a premium standard.
- Liaising with suppliers and partners to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Helping execute new ideas, launches and community initiatives.
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of branding, presentation and attention to detail across everything we do.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Creative and highly organised.
- Passionate about social media and community building.
- An excellent communicator with strong written English.
- Naturally proactive and enjoys taking ownership.
- Highly detail-oriented with a great eye for aesthetics and premium branding.
- Comfortable balancing creativity with budgeting and logistics.
- Excited by startups and helping build something from the ground up.
Experience managing online communities, social media accounts, creator brands, events or premium customer experiences is a significant advantage.
Travel
You’ll help organise member trips and experiences, from cost reporting to researching locations and accommodation to ensuring every detail is considered.
Attending these trips isn’t required, but there will be opportunities to travel and be part of the experience for those who’d like to. Ideally building your own connections and enhancing roles within the company - we aim for team members to grow with the venture, and increase in pay and bonus structures will be reviewed dependant on impact and contribution.
What we offer
Remote working.
Flexible hours.
This is initially a part-time role, allowing flexibility in your schedule.
Performance-based bonus structure, with the opportunity to earn additional rewards based on your impact and contribution.
The chance to become one of the earliest team members helping shape a brand from day one.
Before you apply:
This is an early-stage role within a brand new venture.
That means you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact, influence the direction of the business, and have an opportunity for strong upside growing alongside it - but it also means we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and solving problems without waiting to be told what to do.
When completing your application, we’d love for you to go beyond a traditional CV.
Tell us what you’re genuinely good at. Whether it’s photography, organisation, content creation, negotiation, graphic design, copywriting, event planning, budgeting, video editing, building communities, travelling, public speaking, or something completely unexpected - we want to know!
Don’t worry about listing every employer or filling your application with generic corporate language. We’d much rather understand your strengths, interests and the unique value you could bring to The Society.
Show us who you are, not just where you’ve worked.
Please include your favourite brand (and why), your favourite social media account, and one community you’ve been part of or admire that resonates with your outlook on what a well built brand should look like.
