EDE AND WILKINSON ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT A L8 WATER FLUSHING OPERATIVE ON A PERMANENT FULL TIME CONTRACT
Job Role:
To undertake pre planned maintenance tasks across the railway infrastructure providing a customer focused and cost effective service.
The right candidate will be required to work as a part of our friendly team in a flexible manner to facilitate the smooth running of the day to day business on behalf of our client.
You will be expected to
- work in a multitasking manner and therefore as well as developing the core skills central to your role.
- Develop a strong understanding of health and safety and risks of the railway environment.
- report additional faults to your line manager as you undertake your duties (our aim being to fix things before they are noticed)
Duties
- To carry out outlet flushing of outlets across 40 locations within the Anglia route
- To record outlet temperatures and report defects and non compliance
- To meet time frames and standards as set by the client
- To complete general maintenance tasks as instructed
- To ensure that all work undertaken is carried out strictly in accordance with supervisory instruction and site safety protocols
- To liaise with building users to minimise the impact of work and to keep them informed of progress.
- To advise the management of defects and non compliance which may impact the end users. required
- To comply with site Health and Safety standards
- To contribute to the preparation of Risk and Method Statement documentation as appropriate.
Working 40 hours per week on a shift between the hours of 06:30-14:30 Monday to Friday. Hours can be flexible to suit your personal and work requirements.
It will be necessary to undergo drugs and alcohol testing prior to your commencement of employment.
Skills
- Confident in communicating with customers of all levels
- Good customer care skills
- Able to communicate clearly, orally and in writing
- Able to exercise initiative and prioritize duties accordingly
- Hold a full United Kingdom driving License
- Able to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision
Required Technical Knowledge & Training
- Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working
- Ability to recognize, record and review risks and install the correct control measures
Desirable
- Experience in completion of PPM's
- Experience of ACOP L8 and HSG274 Guidelines
- CSCS Card
- Manual Handling Training
- Personal track safety
Salary £28,398.24
