Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support the organisation and management of kitchen stations during service
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to
- Supervise junior team members and coordinate tasks to maintain efficient workflow
- Contribute to menu planning and presentation of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Uphold high standards of customer service when serving guests or assisting in hospitality areas
- Support training programmes for new team members and interns as required
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Supervising experience within a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Experience in team management or leadership roles within a culinary context
- Familiarity with restaurant procedures, serving standards, and customer service excellence
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food presentation, and health & safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
