Air Conditioning – FITTERS MATE
We are looking for a Fitters Mate to assist the Lead Fitter with organising, planning, and installing AC systems. Key responsibilities/accountabilities:
Ø Assist with the Installation of AC according to job order specifications, whilst always adhering to the job specific RAMS.
Ø Liaising with the Lead Fitter on all updates made to the project manager on progress and status of the job.
Ø With support, learn how to read and understand drawings.
Ø Maintain tools and equipment alongside Lead Fitter.
Ø Understand and adhere to Health & Safety protocols at all times.
Ø Liaise with customers/clients and other site contractors in a professional manner.
Ø Assist with measuring and forming specialty pieces when the job requires.
Ø Attend relevant internal and external training events.

Person Specification – Air Conditioning – Fitters Mate
Essential Knowledge & Skills Required:
Ø Strong communication in clear & concise English.
Ø Numerate, with good comprehension skills to read and understand drawings & plans.
Ø Good listening and questioning skills to gain full understanding of instructions.
Ø Ability to work with others to resolve a problem, to find the most appropriate solution.
Ø Work well under pressure and remain calm.
Ø Full Driving licence.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ø Knowledge of HVAC or Construction
Ø NVQ in Ductwork
Ø CSCS (Labourer Level)
Ø PASMA
Ø IPAF

Location of Job
The job is based at Scott Heating & Ventilation Limited Unit 5 Brookside Industrial Estate, Sawtry, Cambridgeshire, PE28 5SB but will require travel to Client sites.
Lines of Authority
Responsible to Lead Fitter and Project Manager
Hours of Work
40 hours per week (with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch).
