QUALITY CONTROL OPERATIVE
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £28,000 – £29,600 per annum DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing organisation in Doncaster who are looking to add a Quality Control Operative to their team.
This is a hands-on quality position where you will be responsible for inspecting completed work, identifying faults or inconsistencies and ensuring products meet the required standards before final handover.
THE ROLE
- Carry out detailed quality inspections on completed work.
- Check components and equipment have been correctly fitted and are operating as intended.
- Record inspection results accurately using a tablet-based system.
- Carry out weight, measurement and specification checks where required.
- Complete and maintain relevant quality documentation and inspection records.
- Identify defects, incomplete work or areas requiring correction.
- Carry out minor finishing tasks where necessary.
- Support final handovers and occasionally communicate with customers.
- Work closely with workshop and quality colleagues to resolve issues.
- Assist with other quality and operational duties when required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience within quality control, inspection, manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment would be beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Confident identifying faults and raising quality concerns.
- Basic computer skills and comfortable using digital systems.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
- Practical problem-solving ability.
- Reliable, professional and able to work with confidential information.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
