Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Restaurant Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
- Manage food production processes to ensure consistency and quality across all menu items
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
- Develop new menu ideas in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
- Supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, demonstrating leadership and team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Experience in food production, including managing multiple dishes simultaneously under pressure
- Familiarity with hospitality operations and serving procedures is desirable
- Previous restaurant experience that highlights culinary creativity and attention to detail is essential
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and service
