The Role
As a Secondary ECT, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons within your subject specialism while supporting students’ academic and personal development across KS3 and KS4.
Responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Secondary curriculum
- Creating a positive and focused classroom environment
- Differentiating learning to support students of varying abilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Supporting the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate
- Working closely with mentors and senior leaders throughout your ECT induction period
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending qualification status
- Degree within your subject specialism
- Passion for Secondary education and your subject area
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Ability to build strong relationships within school settings
