Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef to join our team after an upcoming refurbishment. This is a fresh kitchen that uses locally sourced ingredients where possible. The current menu will be expanded to include lunchtime sandwiches and weekend brunch.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, adhering to recipes and presentation spec
- Oversee and manage day to day operation of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency
- Assist in the development of new menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Ensure all food prepared meets quality standards and presentation expectations
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Train other kitchen staff to meet the requirements of the business
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the hospitality industry
Pay: £16.00 per hour
