Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance. The position offers an opportunity to increase their hours if they wanted. Week day position Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the minibus to transport passengers to scheduled destinations, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tyre pressure, and overall condition, performing basic maintenance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance and information as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance team for repairs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to guarantee passenger safety throughout each journey.
Requirements
- Valid D1 driver’s licence with 101 restriction removed. Must have a clean licence and be over the age of 25 (insurance purposes).
- Must hold a valid CPC card.
- Must have a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain).
- Ideally have a digital tachograph card (we can help request one).
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, preferably with minibus or passenger vehicle operation would be an advantage.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with passengers and team members.
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic regulations, and safety standards relevant to passenger transport.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings if required.
- Excellent organisational skills and a responsible attitude towards safety and punctuality.
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
