We are looking for a reliable Cleaner / Laundry Operative to join our team at our lead manufacturing facility.
Location: Barnsley S75 2DS
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 5 hours per day 15:00-20:00hrs or 16:00-21:00hrs
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain factory shower blocks and changing facilities to a high standard.
- Wash, dry, and process employees' work overalls, clothing and towels using industrial laundry equipment.
- Allocating clean laundry to correct pigeon holes.
- Ensure cleaning and laundry areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic.
- Follow all company cleaning procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Safely handle cleaning products and equipment provided.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment faults.
Training
Full training will be provided, including:
- Safe operation of industrial laundry equipment.
- Cleaning procedures specific to our facility.
- Health, safety, and hygiene practices, including working safely within a lead manufacturing environment.
- Appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
About You
The successful applicant will:
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Have a good eye for detail and take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Be physically capable of lifting and handling laundry and carrying out cleaning duties.
- Be willing to learn and follow health and safety procedures.
- Previous cleaning or industrial laundry experience is an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Pay: Up to £12.85 per hour
