About the Role
Bennett Hay is looking for an experienced and personable Corporate Reception Supervisor to join our team supporting our prestigious client in a professional corporate environment in central London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident hospitality or front-of-house professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be a key point of contact for employees, visitors and guests, ensuring every interaction is professional, warm and memorable.
You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of service while supporting the wider reception team and deputising for the Reception & Concierge Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a consistently exceptional guest experience, creating a warm and professional first impression for all visitors and employees.
- Greet and interact with guests in a personable, professional and discreet manner.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees and visitors, responding positively to requests and using initiative to resolve queries and problems.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and guests at all levels.
- Manage the room booking system, including room bookings and the coordination of hospitality requirements.
- Maintain excellent presentation standards across all reception and guest-facing areas.
- Carry out regular checks and report any housekeeping or facilities issues.
- Operate the main switchboard, answering and redirecting calls promptly and professionally.
- Meet and greet visitors, manage visitor sign-in procedures and issue passes where required.
- Maintain accurate administration relating to the visitor management system.
- Monitor staff sign-in procedures and assist colleagues who have forgotten their security passes.
- Deputise for the Reception & Concierge Manager and assume responsibility for the reception operation during their absence.
- Support the creation and management of weekly team rotas.
- Set an excellent example to the reception team through consistently high standards of guest service.
- Support colleagues with decision-making and day-to-day operational requirements.
- Assist with the training and development of team members as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and willingly assist with other duties when required.
- Follow all company health, safety, fire and environmental policies and procedures, reporting hazards, incidents and deficiencies appropriately.
- Maintain complete professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive business activities and information.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a corporate reception, concierge, hospitality, guest services or similar front-of-house environment.
- Proven experience supervising or supporting a front-of-house team.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A warm, confident and professional approach with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and consistently high standards of presentation.
- The ability to remain calm, professional and discreet when handling sensitive or challenging situations.
- Confidence using room booking, visitor management and telephone systems.
- A willingness to support colleagues and take responsibility when required.
