Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen managers
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Organize ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times
- Serve meals efficiently to customers or staff while ensuring presentation quality and hygiene standards are met
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Support the team in receiving deliveries, checking inventory levels, and rotating stock as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service environments is highly desirable but not essential.
- Basic cooking skills with a strong interest in meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment
