At Secure Trust Bank, we're on a journey to become the UK's most trusted specialist lender. Data, insight and informed decision-making are at the heart of that ambition—and we're looking for an exceptional Reporting & Operational Insight Senior Manager to help make it happen.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and influential data leader who thrives on turning enterprise-wide vision into operational reality. You'll play a pivotal role in embedding the Bank's Data & MI strategy across the COO function, ensuring leaders have access to trusted, meaningful insight that drives performance, strengthens controls and supports transformation.
About Us
Secure Trust Bank is a UK specialist bank with over 70 years of experience helping consumers and businesses fulfil their ambitions. Through our Consumer Finance, Business Finance and Savings divisions, we provide straightforward financial solutions that make a real difference to our customers.
Our people are at the centre of our success. We are committed to creating an environment where colleagues can grow, contribute and thrive. We value diverse perspectives, encourage innovation and recognise that great ideas come from people with different backgrounds, experiences and ways of thinking.
The Opportunity
As Reporting & Operational Insight Senior Manager, you will act as the key link between the Bank's central Data & MI function and the COO organisation. Your focus will be on driving adoption, standardisation and continuous improvement, ensuring that reporting, analytics and insight become embedded into everyday operations.
Rather than creating a separate data strategy, you'll champion and accelerate the delivery of the enterprise Data & MI agenda—bringing it to life through practical implementation, stakeholder engagement and strong leadership.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the implementation and adoption of enterprise-wide reporting, MI and analytics frameworks across the COO function.
- Ensure reporting is aligned to a single source of truth, with consistent standards, governance and data quality.
- Deliver insightful operational and performance reporting that supports effective decision-making.
- Oversee robust regulatory and control reporting, ensuring strong governance and auditability.
- Champion data governance, ownership and accountability across teams.
- Build a culture where data is trusted, understood and used to drive business outcomes.
- Increase adoption of self-service reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Partner with leaders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance and central Data & MI teams to deliver a joined-up approach.
- Lead and develop a high-performing MI team focused on delivering value, innovation and continuous improvement.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you'll help create:
- Consistent, trusted and business-critical management information.
- Greater adoption of enterprise reporting tools and data assets.
- Improved data literacy and self-service capability across COO teams.
- Strong regulatory confidence through high-quality reporting and governance.
- Better operational performance through insight-led decision-making.
- Clear evidence that the Bank's Data & MI strategy is being successfully embedded and accelerated.
About You
You'll be a collaborative and commercially minded leader who can influence at senior levels and bring people on a transformation journey.
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have:
Essential Experience
- Significant leadership experience within Management Information, Reporting, Analytics or Data functions.
- A track record of operating within complex organisations, ideally within regulated environments.
- Experience implementing enterprise data frameworks, reporting standards and centralised data models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insight.
- Experience using tools such as Power BI, SQL and enterprise data platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
We'd Also Love to See
- Experience leading MI, reporting or data transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of data governance, data architecture or enterprise data initiatives.
- Experience with automation, advanced analytics or AI-enabled reporting.
- Professional certifications in data, analytics or governance disciplines.
- A passion for developing data literacy and enabling self-service analytics.
Our Culture
We're looking for someone who:
- Builds trusted relationships and influences with credibility.
- Is passionate about using data to improve outcomes.
- Brings curiosity, resilience and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Communicates complex ideas in a simple and engaging way.
- Creates inclusive environments where people feel valued and empowered to contribute.
