We are a well-established waste management and skip hire company with an excellent reputation for reliable service. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Class 2 Skip Driver to join our team.
The Role
As a Class 2 Skip Driver, you will be responsible for delivering, exchanging, and collecting skips safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, exchange and collect skips across the local area.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Operate skip loading equipment safely and responsibly.
- Complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices where required.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all road traffic regulations and company policies.
- Keep your vehicle clean and report any defects promptly.
Requirements
Essential:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
Desirable:
- Previous skip or hook loader experience (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Waste industry experience
